ENOCH: THE VEIL

THE GAME

01

One game, two sides

One game with two sides. This is the side that keeps the records.

02

Your character

  1. tradition · the faith you were formed by
  2. clergy or lay · ordained, or trained and sworn
  3. office · what you are authorised to do
  4. rank · who you answer to

A member's record travels with the member. Postings change, and the file carries on from wherever the last posting left it.

03

How a session plays

A file arrives. It is thin, and what is missing from it matters. You go and look, and afterwards you write down what you found.

04

Consequences

Every session closes with a short aftermath: what happened, what changed, what carries forward. It is completed whether the outcome was creditable or not.

05

Death and Saving Grace

Members die. The Order writes to the family, and the file is closed by somebody who never met them.

Now and then a member who should have died does not. These are recorded in the member's own words and the Order does not rule on what happened.

06

With a GM or alone

Play with a GM, or work alone. The procedure does not change.

07

The book

Enoch, bearded, seated on stone steps with a book, under falling rays of light.

The book is complete on its own. This site holds the record between sessions.
